The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.

SASSA might be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it is alarmed in regards to the substantial amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some higher number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The company point created for intervention experiences a high inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to permit the servicing of all shoppers and raise use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
